Berdenov Sergey (1957-2010)

Berdenov Sergey was born on August 9, 1957 in Krasnodar. In 1980, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Kazakh State University named after Kirov and was hired as an engineer in the Department of Archaeology of the Ch. Valikhanov Institute of Archaeology. The main direction of scientific activity of S. Berdenov was ancient mining and metallurgy of the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age. In 1985 - 1987, S. Berdenov had an internship at the Laboratory of Natural Science Methods of the IA of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1988 - 1991, he studied in postgraduate school at the Laboratory of Natural Science Methods of the IA of the USSR Academy of Sciences. S. Berdenov took part in the work of Semirechye, Almaty, Central Kazakhstan and South Kazakhstan archaeological expeditions.
In the process of working on the topic "Kazakhstan Mining and Metallurgical region (the problem of ore sources)", S. Berdenov created a computer database on Bronze Age metal, samples of ores and slags from ancient mines and settlements.
He died in 2010.
