The West Kazakhstan Branch was established on September 29, 2023, by the decision of the General Director of the Margulan Institute of Archaeology.
The main goal of establishing the Branch is to develop the archaeology and scientific potential of archaeological science in West Kazakhstan through the implementation of a balanced policy in the field of studying culture and historical processes in antiquity.
In its activities, the Branch aims to unite the scientific potential of archaeologists from four regions (Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, and Mangistau), elevate research in the region to a new level, and coordinate the work of higher educational institutions, regional museums, and other scientific organizations involved in the study, preservation, and promotion of historical and cultural heritage.
