
Kulik Tamara
Tamara Kulik was born on November 30, 1940 in the city of Voronezh. In 1969, she graduated from the Department of Archaeology of the Historical Faculty of Leningrad State University. After graduation, she was sent to work at the Ferghana Regional Museum of Local History.
From July 1969 to May 1970, she worked as a Senior Researcher at the Department of Pre-revolutionary History at the Regional Museum of Local History in Ferghana (Uzbekistan). From May 1970 to October 1973, she worked in the Regional Council of the Society for the Protection of Monuments of Ferghana, as an archaeologist. From November 1973 to November 1974, she worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the Archaeology Department of the Ch. Valikhanov Institute of Archaeology.
T. Kulik took an active part in the implementation of research works on the preparation of the "Multi-volume history of the Kazakh SSR" and other planned topics of the IHAE named after Ch. Valikhanov.
At the beginning of 1975, by order of the Institute, she was appointed to the position of curator of archaeological funds. She started work on the organization of the storage of archaeological funds, developed a storage system acceptable for the Museum of archaeology.
She participated in the works of SKCAE. In 1974, she headed the excavation II at Otrar, described ceramics and finds from the excavation; in 1975-1976, she supervised the work at excavation V at the Otrar settlement, where defensive structures were studied.
In November 1977, T. Kulik was transferred to the position of a research trainee with a posting to the Leningrad Branch of the Institute of Archaeology (Leningrad) for a period of two years.
In 1985, T. Kulik resigned from the IHAE due to moving to another city.
Currently she lives in Israel.
