Decor of the most ancient saddle in Kazakhstan: issues of study and preservation

The article analyzes the saddle from the mound 11 of the Berel Graveyard. The site was investigated during the field seasons of 1998–1999 by the international expedition of the Margulan Institute of Archaeology under the rule of Zaynolla Samashev. The authors briefly describe the methods of studying the saddle’s condition and examine the decor of the saddle covering.
